초등학교 과학 교과서 내용 가운데 포함되는 과학 읽기 자료의 중요성은 여러 연구에서 강조하고 있다. 특히 과학사를 읽기 자료에 편집하는 것이 학생들의 과학 학습에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 연구가 많이 있다. 본 연구에서는 공주교육대학교 학생들이 선택하여 읽고 인증을 받는 교양 도서 가운데 과학사와 관련된 도서를 보다 효과적으로 학생들에게 읽을 수 있도록 안내하는 방안을 구안하였다. 선택한 도서의 저자가 과학사나 과학을 전공하지 않은 일반 저술가인 점이 고등학교에서 자연계열을 이수하지 않은 공주교육대학교 학생들에게 보다 용이한 독서를 가능하게 할 것이라 연구자는 판단하였다. 그러나 많은 양의 정보가 제시되는 저자의 저술 방식으로 인해 학생들이 독서에 어려움을 겪는다는 평가를 연구자가 접하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 학생들의 어려움을 해결하는데 도움을 주고자 몇 가지 방안을 제시하였다.
The importance of the science reading material included in the content of elementary science textbooks is emphasized in many studies. In particular, there are many studies that the editing of science history into reading materials has a positive effect on students learning of science. The purpose of this study is to guide students to read books related to the history of science more effectively among the liberal arts books selected and read by students at Gongju National University of Education. It is supposed that the author of the selected book is a general author who did not major in science or science history, which would make reading easier for many students who did not have the natural sciences course in high school curriculum at the Gongju National University of Education . However, it is reported that there were many the difficulties of reading this book because of the author s method of writing with a large amount of information. In this study, several suggestions were made to help these students difficulties.
