Insight is an essential ability for humans to cope with changes and also to overcome crises. This insight has been together with the survival of mankind. In the upcoming future society by artificial intelligence, it is more emphasized together with the creativity, and the deep and high-level of insight is asked for. Thus, this study aimed to understand what should be developed and cultivated in which methods of music education, and also to understand the contents and methods for the insight of music education, in order to increase the insight which would be asked for students in the future. For this, after considering diverse literature on the meanings and process of insight, and the insight education, this study concretely discussed the contents and methods of insight that could be developed by music education. In the results of this study, the contents of music education for insight could include feelings(emotion) as the object of insight, music elements as music itself, and the introspection as the highest level of insight. Regarding the methods of music education for insight, this study set up the process and activity for music education and then examined the example by applying the general stage and process of insight.
