The purpose of this narrative study is to present the story of a veteran middle school physical education teacher, focusing on her experiences of improving and utilizing teaching materials. Specifically, it aims to describe which physical education teaching materials were improved by the veteran physical education teacher, and interpret the educational meanings of utilizing those improved materials. Based on decisive critical case sampling, which is one type of purposeful sampling, Kim; Hee-Mang, a middle school physical education teacher with 18 years of teaching experience, was selected as the focal research participant. The data was collected through documents and five interviews with Kim; Hee-Mang about the school physical education activities that she did for 1.5 years. The collected data was then analyzed by going through the process of textualization, formation of concept, formation of upper/sub category, and formation of themes. The story writing was done in a circular fashion, by conducting realistic and interpretive description along with analysis. The teacher, Kim; Hee- Mang talked about her experiences of improving physical education teaching materials as in the use of pedometers and, mirror sheets, introduction of foam balls, permission of rash guards, production of boxing mitts, and application of certificates.
These stories revealed that the basis of such experiences are about realizing the student's mind and, changing life tools into educational tools.
