The goal of this study is to examine the mediating effects of community sense on the relationship between volunteer satisfaction and major satisfaction of the university students majoring social welfare. To that end, 319 students who had volunteer experience among college students majoring in social welfare at the Busan-based university used the answers for the final analysis. To verify the research hypothesis, the hierarchical regression analysis was conducted with gender, year, credits, and economic level under control using SPSS 22.0. The main results are as follows. First, volunteer satisfaction had a positive impact on community sense and the satisfaction with the major, and community sense also had a positive impact on the satisfaction with the major. Second, the analysis of the mediating effects of community sense showed that community sense partially mediated the relationship between volunteer satisfaction and their major satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, the authors suggested some ways to enhance the competence of pre-social workers through volunteer activities of social welfare students and volunteering through community sense.
