Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends in the field of Korean family therapy. Methods: For this purpose, the key words of articles published in the Korean Journal of Family Therapy from the first issue in 1993 to Vol. 27, Issue 3 in 2019 were analyzed through text mining and keyword network analysis. By using these methods, frequency analysis of key words, co-occurrence analysis of key words, centrality analysis, and CONCOR were conducted. Results: The results are as follows: first, the main key words of articles of the Journal are ‘communication’, ‘solution-focused brief therapy’, ‘adolescent’, and ‘case study’. Second, the main pair of key words is ‘communication-self esteem’. Third, ‘communication’ has the highest degree-centrality of the entire set of key words. Finally, as a result of CONCOR analysis, ‘post-family therapy’, ‘communication/diverse family issues’, ‘qualitative research methods’, and ‘Bowen’s model/couple and family relationship’ are identified as four subgroups. Conclusions: These results suggest the need for review of research trends in the field of Korean family therapy up to now, as well as offer some implications for future studies in the field.
