본 연구는 중국 음악대학교의 실용음악학과와 한국 주요 실용음악학과의 교과목, 교육시설, 교원 충원율을 비교분석하여 한국 실용음악 교육 발전을 위한 제언을 하는데 목적이 있다. 교육과정의 경우, 국내 실용음악학과의 교과목이 중국 대학보다 다양성 면에서 더욱 경쟁력이 있음을 확인할 수 있었으나, 교육시설 면에서는 한국의 실용음악학과 보다 중국의 투자 규모가 월등히 크고 교육수요에 부합한 양질의 교육환경을 갖추고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 교원 충원율에 있어서도 중국이 한국의 실용음악학과보다 교수 1인당 학생 수 여건에서 매우 앞서있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 한국 실용음악 교육 환경의 개선과 국제적 인지도 제고를 위해 적절한 교육시설, 교원 충원 등 다각도의 경쟁력 강화가 필요하다는 점을 제언하였다.
This study analyzes the curriculum, educational facilities and faculty recruitment rate of the applied music department of China and Korea in order to propose an improvement plan for applied music education in Korea. In the case of educational curriculum, curriculum in applied music departments in Korea are more competitive than those in Chinese music conservatory. In terms of educational facilities, China invests much more than Korea and has a quality educational environment that meets the needs of education. From the point of view on the faculty recruitment rate, China has an advantage over the applied music department of Korea in the proportion of teachers. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the international visibility of applied music education in Korea, improve the educational environment, put forward a variety of suggestions.
