The article argues that it is necessary to adopt and use the concept and the terminology of ‘Education AI’ to avoid confusion with ‘AI Education’, which concerns rather educational activities about AI than the AI that performs educational function. With the initiative of AI Education by the government, the discourse of AI Education appears to embrace even the issue of building AI systems in Educational sector. What is to be indicated as ‘Education AI’ might be in its burgeoning stage and the its service centers around schools and universities. Also, it may show some functions and performances looking like the education that humans make in terms of behaviors and functions only, and thus ceasing to be quasi-education or non-education. However, the article tries to reason out, using the metaphor of Moravec’s paradox, why AIs remain as a set of functions only that would sometimes exceed human capacity but stay far from covering full intelligence of certain practice such as education. Logically, this leads to the possibility of cooperation between human and AI for education that would extend ‘educational relationship’ between the two. Lastly, the article suggests to build up the favorable environment to sustainable education by human and AI.
