Domestic drama therapy research is growing steadily in quantity. But limited and repetitive research tends to be done. This study focused on domestic dissertation from 1997 to 2020 in order to empirically identify this trend and find its improvements. The results of the study are as follows. Target groups with the same characteristics tend to be studied repeatedly. and The selection of a target group suitable for the times is insufficient. Although Randy and Jennings theory accounted for 67 percent, the link between theory and methodology and program design is weak. Similar trends exist when programs are designed by applying psychological theory. Also, the use of drama therapy diagnostic tools is limited compared to the psychological scale. and Role profile inspections account for 44 percent. To improve these problems, a wider interest in the target group and the theory of drama therapy, the development of the professionalism of the drama therapy educational institution, and the establishment and education of the super-vision system to improve the quality of practical education are needed.
