This study intends to look into the difference between the parents empathy skills perceived by adolescent and to know if mindfulness mediates between the parents adolescent empathy skills and resilience. For this purpose, the parents of adolescents were informed about the purpose of the research and the method of preparing the questionnaire was provided so that the questionnaire could be received by their children. A total of 321 data were collected with using SPSS 18.0, matched pair sample. And stepwise regression analysis of Baron and Kenny and Sobel test were conducted on the collected data. The results of this study are as follows: in the difference of empathy skills of fathers and mothers by adolescent, stigmatism perception and empathic emotional reaction of mother is higher than those of father. In contrast, concerning cold emotional reaction, father is higher. And there is no meaning about hypersensitive emotional reaction. With regard to the correlation of parents empathy skills, there s static correlation in the awareness of emotion, acceptance of viewpoints and empathic emotion, fathers corelation in cold emotion. As for hypersensitive emotional reaction, there s low correlation between acceptance of viewpoints and empathic emotion. In the relationship of parents empathy skills and adjustment resilience, flexibility of mindfulness and creativity don t establish mediator effects, while immersion is partly mediated. Creativity isn t mediated by fathers empathy skills, but partly mediated by mothers’ empathy. In other words, the parents empathy skills can develop the immersion and investigation, but cold emotional reactions hinder the development of immersion, investigation and creativity. Lastly, limitations of this research and further research projects were suggested.
