The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning and need, effect and management of team teaching, and the perception of team teaching among pre-service early childhood teachers. The subjects were 499 pre-service early childhood teachers of 4-3year college program, 1-year child care education center, and cyber universities. The
data collected in this study were analyzed by frequency analysis, chi-square test, ANOVA, and Dunnett T3. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the reason why team teaching is needed is that the plan, execution and evaluation of class can be done effectively through the cooperation of teachers . The purpose of team teaching is to complement the difference between teachers abilities and experiences . Second, in the case of team teaching class operation, providing various activities by taking advantage of teachers was the highest. As for the effect of team teaching on cooperative relationship, increased communication between teachers about infants and young children was recognized as important. Third, the subjects who decide whether to participate in team teaching should be decided through the meeting between teachers.
