The purpose of this study was to suggest instructional strategies and approaches that play-songs can be continuously utilized in music class. In order to reach the purpose of this study, the approaches utilizing play-songs in which Korean music curriculum and the Hungarian music curriculum in which play-songs were systematically implemented, were analyzed to explore the commonalities across both curriculums. Furthermore, the instructional plan for play-songs was developed in this study was designed with concepts derived from the explored curriculums. To appropriately sequence of the instructional contents, this study considers the various aspects of organizing the musical concepts, focusing on the connection of the musical sub-element in selected songs as a cultural aspect of play-songs, the cultural contents contained in the song lyrics.
