An individual s trauma has now become a lasting task to be overcome together on a social level, beyond the personal level. The purpose of this study is to examine the Gwanghwamun Bulletin Board from the perspective of post-traumatic growth of modern people living in the era of psychological trauma, and to reveal the counseling implications of the Bowangsammaeron(寶王三昧論) as an element of overcome adversity. To this end, I first explored 20 texts that resulted from 15,566 citizens participating in the ‘A sentence of life, Gwanghwamun Bulletin Board in my mind’ the contest to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Gwanghwamun Bulletin Board in 2020. The analysis framework was able to psychology of modern people projected on the Gwanghwamun Bulletin Board based on the changes in self-awareness, increase of the depth of interpersonal relations, discovery of new possibilities, and increase of spiritual and religious interest, which are factors in the Korean version of the post-traumatic growth indicators (K-PTGI) by Song Seung-hoon and others(2009), Based on this, based on the content of Chapter 17 「Sipdaeaehaeng(十大礙行)」 of 『Bowangsam maeyeombuljikji(寶王三昧念佛直指)』, I explored the possibility of a preventive counseling approach through a new perspective on everyday adversity. This approach is a small attempt for a multidisciplinary integrated approach in relation to post-traumatic and post-adversity growth.
