This study examines the doctrine and history of Won-Buddhism in order to overcome the polarization that has emerged as a task of the times, and suggests the role and direction of Won-Buddhism in terms of education. First of all, the doctrinal basis of Won-Buddhism to overcome the polarization phenomenon can be said to be directly related to the protection of the independence of the parents, the education of the children of Korean compatriots, the education of the other children of Sayo, the evolutionary therapy of the weak, the diseased society, and its treatment. They see the strong and the weak as a concrete way to win-win and promote. In addition, the specific role of Won-Buddhism for the socially underprivileged and the underprivileged was examined by focusing on educational activities. Won-Buddhism has established educational institutions at various levels, including Wonkwang Academy, a school corporation, including the Savings Union, Dialect Work, Jeonjae-dong Relief Project, and the Hangeul Dissemination Movement. In particular , the establishment of Hankyoreh Middle and High School, the first alternative school in Korea, as well as the specialized alternative school for North Korean defectors, is highly valued. At the same time, the project for the first-year enterprise of Wonkwang University and the educational support project for the underdeveloped countries of the underdeveloped countries of Samdong International and Africa Children s Association are very noteworthy. However, it is regrettable that they have not developed or actively operated concrete and systematic education programs and ways to overcome such characteristics as original Buddhism, such as the operation of a modern model that succeeded the savings union to directly overcome the polarization phenomenon. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a new world and economic view based on monism, develop concrete and continuous social activities, and seek ways to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with religious civil society groups.
