이 연구는 ‘사회교리의 이해와 실천이 무엇을 의미 하는가’, ‘이해와 실천은 어떻게 학습 되는가’ 그리고 ‘그 학습을 위한 프로그램은 어떠해야 하는가’를 질적 실행연구를 통하여 찾고 있다. 실행연구의 사례는 안동교구정의평화위원회가 2016년과 2017년 안동교구의 지구교회를 찾아가서 실행한 워크숍이다. 워크숍은 참여자들이 사회교리 주제에 대하여 대화하는 과정이었으며, 연구자가 운영자가 되어서 워크숍 실행이 연구가 되고 연구가 워크숍 실행이 되도록 노력하였다. 나는 사회교리 워크숍을 통하여 분리되었던 사회생활과 신앙이 통합될 것이라고 기대했다. 그러나 전기(2016) 워크숍에서는 기대에 어긋나서 실망스러웠다. 후기(2017) 특히 4차에 이르러 사회교리의 이해/실천은 복합적이고 중층적인 질적 현상임을 깨달았다. 참여자들은 자신의 상황과 맥락 안에서 주제화, 실천화, 공동체화 하는 역동적인 모습을 보여 주었다. 이 연구는 부족한 점이 많다. 그러나 평신도가 주체가 되어서 삶의 현장에서 사회교리를 이해/실천한 질적 실행연구라는 점에서 사회교리 교육의 새로운 면을 드러낸 의의가 있다.
This study seeks to understand ‘what the understanding and practice of Catholic Social Teaching means’, ‘how the understanding and practice is learned’ and ‘what should be done the programme for the learning’ through qualitative action research. The case of action research is a workshop conducted by the Andong Council of Justice and Peace which was conducted at local church of Andong diocese from 2016 to 2017. The workshop was a process whereby participants talked about the topic of Catholic Social Teaching, and the researcher worked as an operator to research for practice and to practice for research. I expected that social life and faith would be integrated through workshop of the Catholic Social Teaching. However, I was disappointed with the expectations of the former part(2016) workshop. In the later part (2017), especially the 4th workshop, I realized that the understanding and practice of Catholic Social Teaching is a complex, multifaceted and qualitative phenomenon. The participants showed a dynamic view of topicalization, practicalization and community process in their situation and context. There is lack of contents in this study. But there is a new dimension of Catholic Social Teaching education in the sense that the laity has become a main agent and his understanding/practice has become qualitative action research of the field of living in this stud
