In this article, I have examined the composition of the death education curriculum using mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness, like the MBSR program example, has proven its effectiveness in the medical and educational sectors. In this study, I have observed that ‘Mindfulness of Death(maraṇassati, MD)’ can be used as a teaching material for death education. Also, I saw that ‘Mortality Salience(MS)’ of Terror Management Theory, in which death is active state in consciousness, would play an important role in the structure of death education contents. In this paper, I looked at the curriculum structure by looking at examples of mindfulness applied education program and death education program. Mindfulness based death education curriculum should presuppose pedagogical view such as objectives of education, educational contents, and educational evaluation. I also observed that MD can be used as a tool to induce MS. MD, MS, and the contents of death education were examined through a series of sessions to examine changes of attitudes of life and possibility of acquiring correct acceptance of death. Finally, it reflects domestic and foreign researches and suggestions, the mindfulness based death education curriculum should include definition of death, process of dying, view of philosophy and religion’s death, afterlife, grief education, and suicide.
