학교교육에서의 종교교육은 종교의 본질과 종교문화의 다양성을 이해하는 데에 주력해야 한다. 실존적 고뇌로서 종교를 선택하거나 신앙의 결단을 내리는 것은 학생 개인의 선택으로 남겨두어야 한다. 따라서 어떠한 집단이건 선교나 호교적 차원에서 종교교육을 강요하는 것은 공교육의 지평을 넘어선 교육이라 할 수 있다. 2009년도에 개편되는 중등교원 임용시험에서 가장 주목할 변화 중 하나는 종교교사 임용시험이 새로 신설된 부분이다. 최근 종립 고등학교의 종교교과 수업 문제와 종교교사의 자질과 전문성에 대한 논란이 부각되어 온 상황에서, 이번 임용시험의 실시는 향후 우수한 종교교사의 선발에 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 종교교사 양성의 방향을 결정하는 중요한 기준이 될 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 교육인적자원부가 현행의 2단계 전형 체제를 3단계 전형체제로 개편함으로서 2차 논술형시험과 3차 심층 면접과 수업 능력 평가 비중의 확대를 근간으로 하는 임용시험 체제의 변화를 이해하고, 이러한 3단계 전형에 부합하는 종교교과 중등교원임용시험의 출제·채점 체제의 개발, 출제 근거를 명료화하기 위한 평가영역 상세화의 개발을 목적으로 한다.
This paper aims to investigate the detailed evaluation-realms of the secondary school teacher of religion. Examination on teacher of religion, being established newly in 2009, is the most important change of the secondary school teacher examination. It would be contributed not only to select qualified teachers of religion in public school but to cultivate specified and characterized teachers of religion in teacher s college. It is important to educate the religious essence and diversity of cultures to students in public school. But it is beyond the limits to teach religions as a missionary work or apologistic purpose in school education. Students have their own rights to bear existential suffering and determination of religious belief that no can compel to do it. In detailed evaluation-realms, there s still some problems to come into operation checking up the qualities of religious teacher. First, there are not enough religious education curriculum and reference books to prepare the examination at each universities. Second, one can doubt to estimate the superior teacher groups by the basic subject of study that has most parts of religious knowledges. Third, the examination is questioned the effectiveness that the possibility is low to select the subject of religion in the public schools.
