This article researches the problems of the nationalist war against imperial aggression relating to the Jeon, Bong-Jun s religious education thought of the Donghak Revolution. In order to unify Korean nation peacefully in Korean peninsular, the dealing with theme of the Korean nationalism for the anti-imperialism and anti-foreign forces seems to be more important and relevant. The issues of the anti-feudalism and anti-autocratic rule in Korean nationalism were treated in the area of the historical and political academy. Usual persons speak that nationalism will be open nationalism. But in fact this open nationalism means internationalism which pursues the national interests of the strong powers. Recently this nationalism is activating with the flag of globalization and new-liberalism as the neo-colonialism and neo-imperialism in itself. Accordingly for the hopeful independent and unifying country, Korea that experienced the colonial pressures and nowadays under the divided nations, has to adopt the lines of close(resistant, defensive) nationalism naturally. This nationalism indicates that it keeps the sovereignty of the weak states among nations and proceeds to the cosmopolitanism of the mutual equality which includes the values of the peace, cooperation, and progress. The philosophical base of Donghak and uprising of Donghak Revolution are linked with just Korean Nationalism. From now let us consider firstly the necessity of Jeon Bong-Jun s Donghak Revolution attaching to the Korean Democracy(Innaechonjui: 人乃天主義) which is the most Korean and universal thought of the religious education. And forwards this ideological character of Donghak Revolution elucidates the alternatives for the peaceful unification of the Korean Nation, and the way for the new civilization in the third millennium.
