학생인권에 대한 논의는 시간이 흐름에 따라 다양하게 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 목적은 학생인권에 관한 주된 이슈를 파악하고, 연도별 이슈의 변화 동향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학생인권과 관련된 언론기사를 수집하여 토픽모델링 분석을 실시하였다. 자료는 중앙지와 방송사 등의 매체 기사를 포함하는 뉴스 빅데이터 분석 시스템인 빅카인즈를 활용하였고, 분석은 R프로그램 tm패키지를 활용하였다. TF-IDF 분석 결과, 선거가 시행되었던 연도에는 정치적 갈등에 대한 토픽이 두드러지게 나타났고, 선거가 시행되지 않았던 연도에는 학생인권과 관련된 사건에 대한 논의 등이 많이 이루어졌던 것으로 나타났다. LDA 토픽모델링 결과로는 1) 학생인권의 권한과 책임 재검토 논의, 2) 교육감 선거의 핵심 이슈로서 학생인권, 3) 학생인권조례의 제정과 갈등, 4) 정치 변화에 민감한 학생인권, 5) 지역 교육 및 학교 운영의 혁신으로서 학생인권, 6) 성소수자 학생에 대한 인권 논의, 7) 교권 하락과 학생인권과의 관계 논쟁, 8) 학생인권의 지속적인 확대 필요 요구, 9) 학생인권의 확대와 학생규제의 완화 등이 도출되었다. 이 연구는 학생인권에 관한 국내 언론 보도기사에서 드러나는 논의를 종합적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The discussion of students human rights has changed over time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the issues and trends of students human rights in the news. Media articles regarding students’ human rights were collected, and topic modeling analysis was conducted. The data were collected through BIG KINDS, a news database system that includes media articles, and then analyzed with the R program tm package. The results of the term frequency－inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) analysis have shown that the topic of political conflict was prominent during the election year. However, cases related to students’ human rights were frequently mentioned in years when an election was not held. The following are the results of Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling: discussion on 1) reconsidering students’ human rights and responsibilities, 2) students’ human rights as a key issue in the election, 3) enactment and conflict of a students’ human rights ordinance, 4) sensitivity to political changes in students’ human rights, 5) innovation of students’ human rights in education and school management, 6) sexual minority students, 7) the relationship between teachers’ and students’ human rights, 8) demand for continuous expansion of students’ human rights, and 9) expansion of students’ human rights and students deregulation. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed comprehensively the discussion about students’ human rights.
