이 연구는 AI 기반 음악교육에 내재한 몇 가지 핵심적 논쟁들을 고찰하고 음악교사 역할에 관한 교육적 논의를 이끌어내는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해, 먼저 AI 기술의 진화 및 의식의 수준과 관련한 AI의 존재론적 문제를 검토하고, AI 기반 음악교육과 관련한 두 가지 핵심 논쟁으로서 예술적 창의성에 관한 논쟁과 교사무용론에 관한 논쟁을 검토하였다. 이후 AI 기반 음악교육의 가능성 확장을 위한 논의로서 ‘가르침’에 내재한 본질적 성격을 탐색하면서 음악교사의 핵심역할에 관해 논의하였다. 결론적으로, 음악수업에서 ‘교육적인’ 과정을 제공할 수 있는 AI 기반의 음악교육 실천을 위해 음악교사가 가져야 할 인식과 태도에 대해 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study is to bring out an educational discussion on the role of music educators through the examination of several key controversies inherent in AI-based music education. For this purpose, the researcher reviews the ontological issues of AI regarding the evolution of AI technology and the level of consciousness. Furthermore, the researcher examines the debates about artistic creativity and the issues of teacher obsolescence, which are two key arguments related to AI-based music education. As a discussion for expanding the prospect of AI-based music education, the researcher then discusses the key roles of music educators while exploring the essential characteristics inherent in ‘teaching.’ In conclusion, the researcher suggests the understanding and attitude that music educators should be maintaining to accomplish AI-based music education providing an ‘educative’ teaching in music classes.
