PURPOSE This study analyzes qualitative studies on mindfulness-based stress reduction meditation (MBSR) experiences with a qualitative meta-analysis method to broaden the understanding of mindfulness meditation experiences and to develop a more generalized understanding of the phenomena revealed through individual experiences
CONTENTS In order to analyze the qualitative research papers dealing with mindfulness meditation experiences, the domestic academic website (KISS) and the Korea Research Information Service (RISS) were finally selected for analysis, and 5 qualitative research papers were finally selected to analyze the qualitative results of Noblit and Hare (1988). It was analyzed using a meta-analysis method.
RESULTS As a result of the analysis, 4 areas, 15 themes, and 46 core concepts were derived. It was categorized into four areas: ‘living daily life’, ‘welcoming meditation’, ‘doing mindfulness meditation’, and ‘living Saerongnu daily life’.
