The purpose of this study is to reveal the reality of the oral history activities using the school history of elementary school students and search the possibility of it as a learning methodology. For this purpose, based on the history of Jinwi Elementary School, the first public school in Pyeongtaek, the process and results of Jinwi Elementary School students implementing the oral method were reflected. In order to record the history of Jinwi Elementary School in combination, graduates of Jinwi Elementary School of various ages were selected as participants in the study, and the recorded results are summarized by interviewing them. While implementing oral history activities, students went away from accepting the historical facts in textbooks as they were, and experienced the activity of producing history independently. Based on the results of these studies, the following suggestions were made to realize doing-oral history as one of the elementary history methodologies. First, for oral history activities, linkage with other subjects as well as social studies in elementary school subjects must be accompanied necessarily. Second, the subject of oral history in elementary school needs to be narrowed and focused rather than unfolded widely. Third, it needs to be derived oral history topics from learning topics in the curriculum. Fourth, a cross-review must be conducted in the process of post-processing of oral activities.
