본 연구는 기후 위기, 이데올로기 인플레이션 현상 등 인류 혼돈의 상황에서 인간다움을 기본으로 하는 전인교육의 의미를 재조명하고 주입식 교육과 경쟁 체제로 점철된 현대 학교교육에서 전인교육 구현 방향을 탐색하려는 목적에서 출발하였다. 이를 위해 학술연구정보서비스에서 최근 10년간(2014년~2023년) 실행된 전인교육 관련 연구 190여 개 중 미술교육 관련 전인교육 사상 연구를 검토하여 세 개의 사상을 선정하였다: 홀리스틱 교육, 독일의 신인본주의, 심미적 인간. 이 사상들로부터 전인교육의 요소를 추출하여 분석틀을 개발하였고, 이에 근거하여 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정에서 전인교육 사상이 어떻게 구현되고 있는지 분석하였다. 그 결과, 미술과 미적 체험, 표현, 감상 영역에 모두 반영되고 있으나, 특히 미적 체험 영역에서 반영 정도가 상당히 높게 나타났다. 그러나 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정 전체적으로 전인교육 요소는 부분적으로 단편적으로 반영되고 있었다. 향후 미술과 교육과정 개발에 있어 전인교육 사상의 이념, 가치, 그리고 맥락에 근거하고, 인간다움에 대한 학문적, 교육 실천적 다양한 사유를 불러일으키며 담론을 확장해 나가도록 구성하는 노력이 필요함을 제안하였다.
This study began with the purpose of reexamining the meaning of humanity in situations of human crisis and chaos and exploring the direction of implementing whole person education in modern school education. I searched Research Information Sharing Services for studies related to whole person education conducted over the past 10 years (2014 to 2023) and found about 190 results. Among these, an analysis of the studies related to art education revealed that three ideologies, including holistic education, German neo-humanism, and aesthetic human, were being discussed as theoretical backgrounds. An analysis frame-work was developed by extracting elements of whole person education from these ideologies, and based on this, I analyzed how the whole person education ideology is being implemented in the 2022 revised art curriculum. As a result, n the 2022 revised art curriculum, elements of whole person education were parti-ally and fragmentarily reflected. Curriculum documents should be described in sentences containing philos-ophy based on the fundamental ideology, values, and contexts pursued in whole person education.
