The study aims to explore the identity formation process and formation element of elementary school teacher. For this purpose, a total of four interviews were held from October to November 2019 with teacher currently working in elementary school as research participant. The study results are as follows. First, the research participant’s identity formation process changed positively while teaching profession. research participant who had the biggest economic reason for choosing a teacher, thought that more than half her teacher career was ‘a teacher’s job to earn a living’. However, her identity as a teacher has changed in the course of her conflict with a student and trying to solve it, and she has now defined her identity as a ‘warm teacher’. Second, elements affecting the identity of the research participant was not only experiences in school, but also memorable teachers, religion and family. The results of this study may provide an opportunity to think about the ideal identity that a teacher should have, and may be meaningful in that it deals with the reflective process of life as a elementary school teacher.
