이 연구는 텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용하여 원격수업 운영과 관련된 교사들의 지원 요구를 파악하기 위하여 수행되었다. 구체적으로, 코로나19에 대응하여 원격수업 운영이 급격하게 확대된 이후인 2020년 8월에 수집된 A도 교육청 소속 초·중·고 교사 3,000여 명의 개방형 응답자료를 활용하였다. 잠재디리클레할당을 활용하여 지원 요구의 대표 주제를 도출하였으며, 의미연결망 분석을 통해 각 주제별 지원 요구의 구체적인 내용을 분석하고자 하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 잠재디리클레할당 분석 결과, 교사들의 원격수업 운영 지원 요구의 주제는 크게 ① 콘텐츠-질 관리 지원, ② 콘텐츠-제작 지원, ③ 인프라-기자재 지원, ④인프라-쌍방향 플랫폼 지원의 네 가지로 도출되었다. 둘째, 의미연결망 분석 결과, 네 가지 주제영역별 지원 내용의 맥락을 구체적으로 이해할 수 있었으며, 특히 ① 교사-학생 상호소통을 위한 지원, ② 교사 역량 강화를 위한 연수 지원, ③ 업무 경감을 통한 수업 연구 시간 지원이 모든 주제영역을 아우르는 핵심적인 요구인 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구의 함의와 향후 연구과제가 논의되었다.
This paper aims to investigate what policy support teachers needed in the middle of expanding rapidly distance classes due to the COVID-19 using text mining techniques. Specifically, a set of open-ended response data from approximately 3,000 elementary, middle, and high school teachers was analyzed adopting dirichlet allocation (LDA) for topic modeling and semantic network analysis. The main findings are as follows: First, as a result of the LDA, the topics of teachers demand for effective distance class were largely divided into the four domains: ① content-quality management support, ② content-production support, ③ infrastructure-equipment support, and ④ infrastructure-interactive platform support. Second, the semantic network analysis resulted in clarifying specific contexts of each topic and identifying key and fundamental demands covering across all the topics: ① support for teacher-student communication, ② extension of teacher training programs ③ securing instructional research/preparation hours. Finally, implications of this study and future research directions were discussed.
