This study investigated the changes of teaching practices of middle school teachers, comparing the year of 2018 and 2022. By combining TALIS 2018 with the data collected in 2022, the changes in teaching practices were analyzed empirically, and factors influencing them were examined through pooled ordinary least square regression. Teaching practices composed of four areas, which were clarity of instruction, cognitive activation, enhanced activities, and classroom management. As a result, the frequency of clarity of instruction increased, while cognitive activation and enhanced activities decreased. In addition, teaching motivation, self-efficacy, job satisfaction, autonomy, and school size were found to be influencing teaching practices. Teacher collaboration and assessment activities were in positive relationship with innovative teaching practices, such as cognitive activation and enhanced activities.
