본 연구는 지역사회에서 치매노인을 대상으로 돌봄을 제공하고 있는 성인들을 대상으로 지역사회 내의 통합을 목적으로 진행된 음악활동 참여경험에서의 의미와 본질을 알아보고자 하는 질적연구이다. 총 15회기 음악활동에 참여한 9명을 대상으로 참여 경험에 대한 심층면접을 진행하였으며 이 내용을 Moutakas(1994)의 분석방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 참여자의 경험은 어떠한가에 대한 탐색결과, 첫 번째 주제는 ‘개인의 내적변화’와 ‘확장된 관계의 변화’가 도출되었다. 개인의 내적 변화에는 ‘정서적 변화’, ‘신체적 변화’, ‘자아의 변화’가, 확장된 관계의 변화에서는 ‘타인을 이해’, ‘고인과의 관계의 변화’, ‘가족관계의 변화’, ‘공동체에서의 변화’가 도출되었다. 두 번째 음악적 경험의 의미는 어떠한가에 대해서는 ‘음악은 변화와 확대’라는 주제가 도출되었으며 ‘감정을 치유’, ‘내면아이를 만남’, ‘공동체로 연결’이 도출되었다. 본 연구결과는 지역사회에서 음악 활동 참여자들의 경험을 탐색함으로 국내 지역사회의 음악활동 관련 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료로서의 의의가 있다.
This is a qualitative study aiming to find out the meaning and essence of what participants experienced in music activities focused on local community for the purpose of integration within the local community for adults who are providing care for the elderly with dementia. In-depth interviews were conducted with 9 people who participated in music activities for a total of 15 sessions, this was analyzed by applying the analysis method of Moutakas(1994). In the research process, questions were first constructed through an open-ended questionnaire, and then experiences were described in detail through in-depth interviews. The results are as follows. First, what they experienced was ‘internal change in individuals’ and ‘changes in extended relationships’. ‘Internal change in individuals’ was shown as ‘emotional change’, ‘physical change’, and ‘self change’. And ‘change in expanded relationships’ was shown as ‘understanding of others’, ‘change of relationship with the deceased’, ‘change of family relationship’ and ‘change in the community’. Second, as for the meaning of musical experience, it is change and Expansion: ‘healing emotions’, ‘meeting the inner child’, and ‘connecting to the community’. The result of this study is meaningful as basic data for the development of various program related to music activities in local community in Korea by understanding the experience of participants in music activities focused on local community
