The purpose of this study is to develop an integrated art therapy program to improve the adaptability of school maladjusted adolescents and to verify its effectiveness. An empirical study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the developed program. The subjects of the study were 24 middle school students in City I, consisting of 12 experimental groups and 12 control groups. The program was conducted with a total of 10 sessions of 90 minutes once a week. For data processing, a t-test was conducted using the IBM Statistics SPSS 27.0 program, and qualitative content analysis was conducted to understand the psychological changes of the experimental group participants in more depth and to solve the limitations of statistically significant changes. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, it was found that the integrated art therapy program to improve the adaptability of maladjusted adolescents was effective. Second, as a result of qualitative analysis, most participants showed improvements in psychological stability, communication with others, self-expression skills, and sense of accomplishment. As a result of this study, the integrated art therapy program of this study is expected to contribute to improving the adaptive flexibility of school maladjusted adolescents and opening the way for them to lead happy lives.
