This study attempted to conduct art therapy based on narrative exposure therapy and verify its effect in order to reduce post traumatic stress symptoms(PTSS) complained of by married men who were exposed to domestic violence during their growth. Participants in the study were 39 year old married men, and art therapy was conducted once a week from October 2021 to January 2022, for a total of 15 sessions of 90 minutes. To confirm the impact of the study, first, the Korean version of the Event Impact Scale Revision (IES R K) and the Person In The Rain(PITR) test in the Rain were used and measured and analyzed before and after treatment. Second, the contents of reflection related to PTSS during the session were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the score of IES R K decreased by a total of 42 points from 58 points to 16 points. And the PITR test showed that the stress score decreased by 14 points and the coping resource score increased by 8 points. Second, during the session, changes such as relaxation of participants' physical responses, decreased fear and self esteem, and positive self concept were observed. These results are considered to indicate that narrative exposure based art therapy has an effect on the reduction of PTSS in married men exposed to domestic violence during their growth period.
