This study demonstrated the possibility of difference between Korean-American early adolescent groups and non Korean-American in terms of their levels of anxiety and depression, and some specific of Korean-American parenting styles which may affect both positively and negatively on the development of adolescent psychological adjustment. Since this study was a first attempt to explore the culture specific Korean-American parenting style, in spite of the fact that there were few significant finding, the results of this study require careful consideration in terms of putting them in the social and cultural context. However, the results of this study brought a new perspectives to the relatively unique Korean- American parenting styles.
