The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-oriented perfectionism and other-oriented perfectionism mediated by depression and parenting behavior on children's maladjustment according to the mother and father. The theoretical model was specified and estimated. Subjects of this study consisted of 230 parents drawn from preschools. And SPSSWIN and LISREL Ⅷ program was applied to analyze data. The theoretical model proposed was supported by the data and fitted adequately. As the results, first, mother's self-oriented perfectionism exerted a direct effect on control parenting behaviors. Second, mother & father's other-oriented perfectionism intermediated by depression, on control parenting behaviors and children's external & internal maladjustment.
