The study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of multicultura characteristic, parent-relationship and social support on emotional abilities of multicultural children. A questionnaire survey was used to targeted, 165 multicultural children in the 4th ~ 6th grade were selected from elementary schools in Jeollanamdo area. The data was analyzed by using the frequency, Cronbach's α, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical regression by SPSS 12.0 program. The results were as follows: first, the emotional abilities were different according to the multicultural characteristic, parent-relationship and social support. second, the influential variables regarding the emotional identification and expression were relationship with mother, peer support, mother's nationality. And, the influential variables regarding the emotional regulation were relationship with mother. The results of this study will provide information for the improvement program for emotional abilities of multicultural children.
