The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of children s perceptions of parent psychological control and children s basic psychological needs satisfaction on SNS addiction tendency. For the study, 247 children ranging from 5rd to 6th grades, were recruited from four elementary schools. The results of this study: First, for boys and girls, there was a positive correlation between their perceptions of parental psychological control and their SNS addiction tendency. But only for girls, there was a negative correlation was found between their basic psychological needs satisfaction and their SNS addiction tendency. Second only mother s psychological control perceived by boys had a significant and positive effect on their SNS addiction tendency, while only relatedness, turned out to have a significant but negative influence on girs SNS addiction tendency.
