The purpose of this study is to (1) examine the concept of related terms such as technology and metaverse, (2) overview technology-based psychological counseling research, (3) technology-based psychological counseling education and training, focusing on literature review. To outline the research, Metaverse is a new content convergence technology rather than technology, and is based on an active and sense of presence. With the growth of the Metaverse platform, the application area is expanding from games to daily life and industry. The advantage of using AI and related technologies in the field of mental health is that it is as effective as face-to-face treatment and efficient in terms of time, space, and economy. In psychological counseling education and training using technology, various educational programs and child psychological evaluation and treatment programs have been developed overseas. Collaboration and research with psychological counselors and technology experts are needed to develop psychological counseling using virtual environments that are rapidly growing and the development of artificial intelligence in the future.
