The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of play-Based cognitive rehabilitation programs on reducing depression and improving self-integration in the depressed elderly. The subjects of this study were 22 elderly people aged 70 or older who used the 00 Home Welfare Center in 00-gun, K-do, who were diagnosed with depression with no cognitive impairment with more than 24 points on the Korean Simple Mental Health Test (K-MMSE) and are currently undergoing drug treatment. The study was divided into two groups, Monday and Wednesday, for 90 minutes once a week, for a total of 12 sessions. The results of this study are as follows. First, play-Based cognitive rehabilitation programs affected the reduction of depression among depressed elderly people. Second, play-Based cognitive rehabilitation programs had a positive effect on improving the self-integration of depressed elderly people. Therefore, this study confirmed that play-Based cognitive rehabilitation programs are effective in reducing depression and improving self-integration in the depressed elderly.
