The Japan sports law association 10th general meeting was held at Waseda University international congress center on December 14, 2002, in the memorial lecture the chairman of the South Korea sports law association Professor Kee‐Young Yeun proposed the foundation of Asia sports law association . Accepting the proposal, I who had been serving as the chairman of the Japan sports law association promised to strengthen the agreement and the cooperation sincerely. Through three years afterwards, we come to be going to hold the international conference for Asia sports law association establishment here, I think it is a fruit of South Korea sports law association, especially the chairman Professor Kee‐Young Yeun’s efforts, and sincerely bless them. Now, the problem imposed on me is A suggestion for standardization and harmonization of Sports Law in Asia , but I think it is very difficult to unitedly understand them, because the formation and idea about the system of law in each country of Asia are different each other, and they have another historical, social, political situation about it. However, because sports have commonness and internationalism and the right as the world culture, it seems to be possible to consider the research harmonizing all things for embodying in the text of a law. In this report, we will examine legal harmony as a study through a basic theory of sports low, the positive law of sports, peculiar sports idea, sports rule, a legal character of sports collective agreement. Especially, I want to point out the importance of sports International Law. Moreover, we will also consider a sports right, a fundamental law of sports, and other concrete problems individually.
