Even though Korean sport has enjoyed phenomenal success in international competition, it has not been with very serious internal, structural problem to a point where they have to worry about declining supply of athletes. This research looks into the factors causing these problems in this society in transition that is entering to the Information Society. Especially it takes a viewpoint of the customer of Korean sport system, notably parents exercising main role in deciding whether to send their children into the sport system, rather than the nation-state whose viewpoint has often taken into account in many previous researches.
