Sports disputes in Chinese professional leagues have been increasing in both volume and complexity. Given that sports dispute is different from common civil dispute, the involved partied are more likely to be the focus of public attention. Furthermore, athletes’ sports life is rather limited and the games are time relevant, therefore how to settle sports disputes in a fair, timely, and legal manner so as to best protect the parties involved has been an important issue for sports participants and relevant researchers to follow closely. By studying on current disputes, the author aims to examine dispute settlement mechanisms and discover solutions for sports disputes.
