Today, Entertainment industry is rapidly growing into future-oriented cultural enterprise. With the development of the entertainment industry is growing rapidly dispute about him. The dispute can be classified as follows: contract dispute, copyright dispute, publicity right dispute, and dispute on the antitrust law. Arbitration as the settlement of entertainment industry related disputes is regarded as the one of effective dispute resolution methods and merits notice because it has expertness of arbitrators, voluntary reference, speediness, closed proceedings, low costs, and peaceful atmosphere. However, not all cases of them have arbitrability. In oder to relieve entertainment industry related disputes through arbitration, subject to dispute shall have arbitrability. According to Korean Arbitration Act Art. 3 (1) (2), any dispute in private law would be the object of arbitral proseeding. Therefore, the parties may agree to arbitrate disputes relating to the rights that they freely dispose of. This paper examines the arbitrability of the entertainment industry related disputes by type of them.
