The purpose of this study is to suggest an alternative form of ownership structure for obtaining financial health of K-league Local Government Football Club. The alternative ownership structure is to improve its ownership structure that is a prior task. These clubs have faced a serious financial crisis and it has negative impact on management of K-League. They are a form of stock corporation with athletic associations of a local government as a major shareholder so that its structure cannot be resolved by external control of general corporations. UK Professional Football Clubs have examined in regards to ownership of the club with fundamental and internal control as a means of overcoming the crisis, and successfully managed by enacting the system, Supporters Trust, as one of social corporations. Supporters Trust is successful example to solve financial difficulty of K-league Local Government Football Club and the strategies for improvement are following. Firstly, the purpose of fan-owned Football Club is to contribute to local communities. Based on the purpose of its existence, institutional strategies such as amendment of law system is required so as to switch to a social corporation and have corporate legal personality. Secondly, to switch ownership structure of K-league Local Government Football Club to a social corporation such as Supporters Trust, establishment of associations and government organizations that are capable of providing legal advice, management know-how and funds should be conducted in advance. It is expected that switching K-league Local Government Football Club to a social corporation is helpful to enact laws for achieving financial health of a club.
