In the beginning, God created human beings in His own image. They, however, have not been responding to Him according to the image since the sinful incident by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden(Gen. 3:1-19). It gave some damage on the godly image causing inner conflicts as well as relational ones in their daily lives. Disobeying to God meant breaking the relationship with Him. Hearing the sound of God, therefore, the first couple hid from Him due to the fear and the anxiety, a self-defense mechanism. This dysfunctional mechanism continued its control on human-beings generation after generation. Christ Jesus was God s solution to this human predicament. The Kingdom of God was realized already in Him, but not yet in its full measure. One becomes a new creature in Christ, but still continues to be a sinful flesh under the already-not yet structure of this age. The Bible encourages him or her to walk in the Spirit, which is following the spiritual way of life ( LifeWay ) but not the egocentric relationship-emotion mechanism. Out of this understanding, the writer proposes the LifeWay five-step model for bringing the human inner-self and relationship growth.
