This study examined the relationship between spiritual transcendence and psychological well-being among Christian young adults in Korea. Subjects of this study were 186 Christian young adults living in several areas of Korea: Chungcheong Province, Gangwon Province, Jeolla Province, Gyeongsang Province, Kyunggi Province, and Seoul. The age range for subjects was from 20 to 40. The instruments used in this study were the Spiritual Transcendence Scale developed by Piedmont (1999) and Psychological Well-being Scale developed by Ryff (1989), and they were self-report questionnaires. Datacollection was processed from July to September, 2004 and processed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). Pearson product-moment correlation was employed to analyze data. The findings of this study indicated that there is a significant positive correlation between spiritual transcendence and psychological well-being. Also, in the result, correlations between spiritual transcendence and each subscale of psychological well-being: self-acceptance, positive relations with others, environmental mastery, autonomy, purpose in life, and personal growth were shown.
