신학과 심리학의 통합은 기독교(목회)상담이 시작된 이래 지금까지 계속되고 있는 중요한 논의 가운데 하나이다. 이러한 상황에서 본 논문은 대표적 침례교신학자인 Mullins의 성육신론과 대표적 통합적 상담이론가인 Corey의 상담이론을 통합하고자 했다. 이 논문에서 추구하는 통합은 일반상담이론의 틀을 가져와 신학이론을 토대로 기독교(목회)상담의 이론적 틀을 재구성하는 것이다. 필자가 사용하고 있는 통합방법론은 “분리될 수 없는 일치”, “용해될 수 없는 차이”, “파괴될 수 없는 순서”를 주장하는 Hunsinger의 방법론에 의존하고 있다. 그러나 필자는 신학과 심리학이 본질적으로 신인이신 예수 그리스도와 같은 일치성을 지니고 있지 않다고 보기 때문에, Hunsinger의 방법론에서 “분리될 수 없는 일치”를 “공통된 요소”로 완화하여 사용하고 있다. 이 논문은 침례교신학자인 Mullins의 신학이론을 사용하고 있다는 점에서 앞으로 신학과 심리학의 영역에서 다양한 신학의 접목가능성을 시사한다. 특히 각 교단마다 다양한 신학과 신앙실천을 지니고 있다는 사실을 염두에 둘 때, 그러한 특성을 반영한 다양한 기독교(목회)상담의 출현이 가능하게 될 것이다.
The integration between theology and psychology still is an important argument today ever since Christian(pastoral) counseling had begun academically. This article has its basis on Mullins’ incarnation theory and Corey’s counseling theory. Its purpose is to establish a theory of counseling on the analogy of these two theories mainly focusing on Mullins’ incarnation theology. For this purpose, the author discussed the integration between theology and psychology at first. Then, he referred to Mullins’ incarnation theory and Corey’s counseling theory by thorough examination of the texts written by them. Finally, he tried to establish the integration between theology and psychology based on Mullins’ incarnation theory and Corey’s counseling theory. This article suggests the combination-possibility of diverse theologies in the integration between theology and psychology having its basis on Mullins’s theology. Through this study, emergence of diverse Christian (pastoral) counseling reflecting the theology and practice of each denomination would be possible.
