This study is a phenomenological study of the process and factors of becoming sex addicts, and the analysis method of Colaizzi resulted in 26 sub-topics and four categories. Unstable family environment and unstable attachment, chronic anxiety and fear, loneliness, experience of emptiness and sexual violence, failure of peer group ties, and excessive exposure of pornography in childhood have become factors of sexual addiction. In the process of becoming a sexual addiction, the phenomenon of avoiding interpersonal rela-tionships, covert sexual secrecy, compulsive sex acts, sexual harassment, conversion to sexual assault victims, sexual delusions and pathological religious beliefs, guilt and shame were experiencing suicidal impulses caused by psychological pain. The study participants could see that faith was pathologically shaped by excessive sexual exposure and conflicts between faiths from child-hood, and that there was little difference between distorted sexual values and deviant sexual behavior.
