This study proposes ways to use Edutech for the purpose of traditional Korean music education. First, the teaching and learning methods presented in the music and education curriculum were structured to select Edutech that reflects the characteristics of Korean traditional music education. Moreover, the large number of digital tools used in music education were categorized into three types: “interaction and collaboration,” “Western music activities,” and “traditional Korean music activities.” Among them, we examined the characteristics of traditional Korean music education media in detail and used Edutech in traditional Korean music classes. In particular, in the areas of singing and creation, we sought strategies for using Edutech to enhance students’ musical abilities through experiences that reflect traditional Korean music elements (e.g., “gayageum app byeongchang,” “tori garak performance and creation,” and “jangdanggol creation”) using digital tools. We hope that through this article, Edutech that focuses on the essential goals of traditional Korean music education will be activated and help carry out meaningful traditional Korean music activities.
