본 연구는 음악 교과서에 제시된 국악 기악 교육 내용을 다차원적 분석 틀에 따라 고찰하고, 학교 국악 기악 교육의 방향을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로는 다차원적 분석 틀에 기반한 연역적 내용 분석을 적용하고, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정에 따른 초⋅중등 음악 교과서 67권을 연구 대상으로 기능 중심, 개념 중심, 학습자 발달, 사회문화적 맥락, 문화 정체성의 다섯 분석 초점을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 기능과 개념 중심의 기악 활동은 반복적이나 학습의 심화와 전이는 부족하였고, 사회문화적 맥락에서는 국악기 경험의 제한, 지역 편중 현상이 나타났다. 문화 정체성 지원을 위한 성찰 활동은 미흡하였다. 이러한 결과는 현행 국악 기악 교육이 기능 중심에 머무르고 있음을 시사하였다. 본 연구는 다차원적으로 국악 기악 교육 내용 구성의 필요성을 제시하며, 향후 학교 국악 기악 교육의 방향을 제시하는 기초 자료로 활용될 것이다.
This study aims to examine Korean traditional instrumental music education presented in music textbooks through a multidimensional analytical framework and to explore directions for its development in schools. As a research method, deductive content analysis based on a multidimensional analytical framework was employed. A total of 67 elementary and secondary music textbooks developed under the 2022 revised national music curriculum were analyzed using five analytical focuses: skill-centered, concept-centered, learner development, sociocultural context, and cultural identity. The results show that skill- and concept-centered instrumental activities were frequently repeated; however, opportunities for deeper learning and transfer were limited. In the sociocultural perspective, students’ experiences with traditional instruments were restricted, and regional representation was uneven. In addition, reflective activities to support cultural identity were insufficient. These findings suggest that current Korean traditional instrumental music education remains largely skill-oriented. This study highlights the need for a multidimensional approach to organizing educational content and provides foundational data for improving Korean traditional instrumental music education in schools.
