2023년 서이초 사건 이후 교사들의 연대는 교권 4법 개정 등 전례 없는 제도적 성과를 도출하였으나, 이후 정동적 침잠과 내부 분열의 국면으로 이행하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 침잠과 분열을 추동한 기저 메커니즘을 해명하고자 Mouffe의 경합적 다원주의와 Ahmed의 정동 경제 개념을 결합한 분석틀을 구성하고, 온라인 커뮤니티 ‘인디스쿨’의 담론 자료에 대한 정동-담론 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 서이초 연대가 표방한 구조적 책임, 전문직 권리, 내부 결속의 담론은 ‘탈정치적 순수성’ 프레임 하의 실제 담론 실천 과정에서 ‘고착–도덕화–전위’의 연쇄적 메커니즘을 거쳐 내부 분열로 귀결되었다. 구체적으로 연대 초기 형성된 정동적 경계가 특정 기표에 고착되고, 순수성 프레임이 정치적 차이를 도덕적 오염으로 재규정하며, 외부를 향한 분노가 내부 동료에게로 전위되거나 기존의 직렬간 갈등으로 확산되는 과정이 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과는 분열의 거시적 조건(Mouffe)과 미시적 정동 기제(Ahmed)를 결합함으로써, 기존의 교육적 경합주의 논의를 교직 사회의 정동적 차원으로 확장하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 본 연구는 서이초 연대의 경험을 ‘탈정치화된 연대의 정동적 역설’로 개념화하며, 그 배경에 교사의 정치적 기본권 제한과 탈정치화 전략이 결합된 ‘정치적인 것’의 이중 억압이 있음을 규명하였다. 이를 바탕으로 적대에서 경합으로의 전환을 위해 ‘정치적인 것’의 복원, 정동의 고착과 전위에 대한 윤리적 성찰, 그리고 이를 매개할 담론적·제도적 공간의 확보가 요청됨을 논의하였다.
Following the 2023 Seoicho incident, teacher solidarity in South Korea achieved unprecedented institutional outcomes, including the revision of four major laws on teachers’ rights. However, this momentum was subsequently followed by affective submergence and internal fragmentation. This study elucidates the underlying mechanisms driving this submergence by conducting an affective-discursive analysis of the Indischool online community, integrating Chantal Mouffe’s agonistic pluralism with Sara Ahmed’s affective economies. The findings reveal that the surface discourses of solidarity—structural accountability, professional rights, and internal cohesion—were transformed into internal fragmentation through a sequential mechanism of ‘fixation–moralization–displacement’ driven by a frame of depoliticized purity. This purity frame recast political differences as moral contamination, displacing outward-facing anger onto fellow teachers and intensifying pre-existing inter-role tensions. Conceptualizing these dynamics as the ‘affective paradox of depoliticized solidarity,’ the study identifies its fundamental condition as a ‘dual suppression of the political,’ stemming from both structural restrictions on teachers’ political rights and the movement’s own depoliticization strategy. It argues that the transition from antagonism to agonism necessitates the restoration of ‘the political,’ ethical reflection on affective fixation and displacement, and the establishment of discursive and institutional spaces enabling the retranslation of moral categories into political ones.
