This study analyzed the effects of knowledge about the elderly long-term care
insurance of elderly social-welfare officials on burn-out status. 90 surveys of elderly
social-welfare officials were selected among total 406 surveys of social-welfare
officials working at 13 basic local self-governments, and then were analyzed. The
analysis showed that the burn-out status of elderly social-welfare officials was very
high. The more knowledge about the elderly long-term care insurance elderly
social-welfare officials have, the less burn-out status they have. Based on the results,
the methods to provide elderly social-welfare officials with professional knowledge
were suggested.
