Purpose: This study was done to identify correlates of successful aging and wisdom in Korean older adults. Methods: The participants for this study were 506 elders living in Dague and Busan in Kyungpook province. The data about successful aging (Kim & Shin\'s Successful Aging Scale for Korean elderly), and wisdom (Sung et al.\'s Wisdom Scale for Korean elderly) were collected via interviews from January to April, 2010. Data analysis was done using SPSS/WIN 15.0 program and included one-way ANOVA, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and simple linear regression. Results: Results showed a positive correlation between successful aging and wisdom. Wisdom explained 12.3% of successful aging. Conclusion: The study results indicate a need to improve wisdom among Korean older adults to allow them to experience successful aging.
