Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of sex education by analyzing differences in knowledge and attitude regarding sexuality in elders, aged 65 or over, after a program on sex education. The design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Methods:　Research was done from September 14 to 27, 2007 and the elders were conveniently selected from elderly people in D City (25 for the experimental group from N senior welfare center and 25 for the control group from D Multi-purpose senior welfare center). Results: The results of the study were as follows. The experimental group who received the sex education scored higher in knowledge and attitude regarding sexuality than the control group who did not participate in sex education. Conclusion: This study showed that group sex education can be an effective method to improve knowledge and attitude regarding sexuality in elderly persons. It is suggested that more study on the effects of individually tailored sex education programs for elders.
