This study investigated therapeutic orientation and experiences of Korean and German psychotherapists. It also explored therapists\' strength and qualities of effective therapists, and how the ways therapists\' strength helped their clients.
One hundred and four therapists form Korea and twenty eight from Germany participated in this study. Question items were selected form Development of psychotherapists common Core Questionnaire and in addition to some open questions.
The results showed that two cultures shared many common characteristics. However, the types and degree of clients\' symptom and therapists\' coping strategies when difficulties arise regarding the therapy were somewhat different between two cultures.
